1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Of 1/4 inch sirloin tips (cut in serving pieces) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Olive oil |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Chopped onion |
1 | Clove garlic, chopped | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 | Beef bouillon cube | |
1 cup | 237ml | Hot water |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Cooked tomatoes |
1 | Large green pepper, sliced in rings | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cornstarch |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Cold water |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Soy sauce |
Brown meat in olive oil. Add onion and garlic last 10 minutes. Drain oil. Season. Dissolve bouillon cube in hot ater and add to meat. Cover and simmer 20 to 25 minutes. Add tomatoes and green pepper. Cook 10 minutes longer. Combine remaining ingredients and stir into meat. Bring to boil. Cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes longer. Serve with hot egg noodes or rice.
