Chicken Cacciatore

Recipe Ingredients

1   Cut up chicken or 4 chicken breast halves
3   TBS oil (can be reduced if you're fat watching)
1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozChopped onion
1/2 cup 73g / 2.6ozChopped green pepper
2   Oz) cans tomato sauce
1/2 cup 118mlRed wine (I use Chianti)
1 teaspoon 5mlSalt
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlPepper
2   Bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlThyme
-   Dash of garlic powder

Recipe Instructions

Saute chicken in oil until golden. Add onion and green pepper. Saute until veggies are soft, but not browned. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer uncovered for 1 to 1.5 hours. Remove bay leaves before serving.
