Gorgonzola-Chicken Pizza Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Olive oil |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Pepper - freshly ground |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Olive oil |
2 | Garlic - sliced | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Frozen bread dough - thawed |
3/4 lb | 340g / 11oz | Chicken breast - cut into strips |
1/4 lb | 113g / 4oz | Gorgonzola cheese - crumbled |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Parmesan cheese - grated |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Fresh sage leaves |
With 2 tsp oil, grease 14-inch pizza pan; sprinkle with cornmeal. In skillet, over medium heat, melt butter in remaining oil; saute chicken, sage, pepper and salt 3 minutes. Remove.
In drippings, saute onions and garlic 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 450F.
Pat dough into pizza pan; fold edges under 1/4 inch. Bake 5 minutes. Sprinkle with onions, then chicken and cheeses; bake 10 minutes, until golden.
