Chinese Chicken Stir Fry Recipe - Cooking Index
This recipe is easy to make and packed full of healthy ingredients.
Cuisine: Chinese15 1/2 oz | 440g | Boneless, skinless chicken breast |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Dark soy sauce |
12 1/4 oz | 348g | Broccoli, broken into small florets |
7 oz | 198g | Green beans halved |
Bunch of spring onions, cut into long slices | ||
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cornflour |
Juice of 2 oranges | ||
1 oz | 28g | Fresh basil, roughly torn |
Heat the groundnut oil in a wok or large frying pan. Cut the chicken into thin strips. Add the chicken strips and a splash of soy sauce and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly until the chicken starts to brown.
Stir in the broccoli, the beans and half the spring onions and cook for 5 minutes or until the chicken is just starting to become tender.
Mix the cornflour with the orange juice and remaining soy sauce. Pour into the pan and continue to cook for about 1 minute. Make sure you keep stirring the sauce until it has just thickened.
Roughly tear and scatter the basil and remaining spring onions on top and serve with plain boiled rice.
