Sesame Beef

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozBeef - julienne
1 tablespoon 15mlSoy sauce
1   Egg white
1 tablespoon 15mlCornstarch
2 cups 474mlOil - for deep frying
  Sauce
2 tablespoons 30mlSesame seed paste - - or
2 tablespoons 30mlPeanut butter - diluted in
2 tablespoons 30mlWater
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSalt
2 teaspoons 10mlSugar
2 tablespoons 30mlSoy sauce
1 tablespoon 15mlRed wine vinegar
2 tablespoons 30mlSesame seed oil
1 teaspoon 5mlPepper oil - -*check recipe

Recipe Instructions

Combine beef, salt, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well with hand. Bring oil in wok to 400F.

Deep fry beef 1 minute. Drain. Remove beef. Bring oil to temperature again and deep fry 1 minute more.

Drain and remove to platter mix ingredients into a smooth, thin sauce. Heat in saucepan and pour over beef.

I like to add chopped carrot, or peanuts or whatever when I'm feeling creative.
