Recipe Ingredients

1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozButter
3 cups 187g / 6.6ozBeef or chicken - cooked
2 cups 125g / 4.4ozOnion - chopped
2 cups 220g / 7.8ozCelery - chopped
2 cups 474mlHot water
2/3 cup 157mlCold water
1/4 cup 15g / 0.5ozCornstarch
1   Bean sprouts
4 teaspoons 20mlSoy sauce
  Brown gravy - to color
  Salt and pepper

Recipe Instructions

Melt butter. Add meat, onions, celery, salt and pepper to taste, saute til wilted.

Add hot water, cover and cook. Add rinsed bean sprouts, and stir. Heat to boiling.

Add flavoring and thickening ingredients, stir lightly, cook five minutes more.

Serving Ideas : Serve with chow mein noodles
