Braised Alberta Pork Tenderloin Recipe - Cooking Index
6 oz | 170g | Lean Alberta pork tenderloin |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Chopped onion |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Chopped green onion |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped green bell pepper |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped celery |
2 | Garlic - minced | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Minced fresh parsley |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Thyme |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly ground black pepper |
Preheat the oven to 375F. Lay the pork in a small baking pan. Combine all the vegetables and seasonings and spoon them on and around the meat in the pan.
Cover Bake for 45 minutes. Slice the tenderloin and serve it with the cooking vegetables as garnish.
NOTE: This is an unusually light way to use lean pork.
VARIATIONS: Pork is also delicious baked with a chopped apple, an onion, and 2 cloves of garlic.
