Marinade | ||
10 oz | 284g | Soy sauce (low-sodium)* |
2 oz | 56g | Jack Daniel's Kentucky whiskey |
3 oz | 85g | Honey |
2 | Green onions - rough chop | |
2 | Gingerroot - rough chop | |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Black pepper |
6 oz | 170g | Beer (not light) |
* be sure to use low-sodium soy sauce as using regular soy sauce will make the meat too salty
Combine marinade ingredients in blender and puree until smooth. Cook gets to drink the rest of the beer.
Place steaks and marinade in Ziploc bag and seal. Place in refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours and better if overnight.
Prepare charcoal grill and let coals burn to gray.
Remove steaks from marinade and grill over medium coals. Take steaks off the grill when internal temperature reaches 140F.
