Sweet and Sour Brisket Recipe - Cooking Index
6 lbs | 2724g / 96oz | Beef brisket - flat portion |
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Onions - sliced (large) |
10 | Garlic - minced | |
3/4 cup | 120g / 4.2oz | Brown sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Vinegar |
1 cup | 237ml | Catsup |
1 cup | 237ml | Water |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
Place brisket in heavy skillet and brown on all sides, add onion and garlic and brown.
All other ingredients are now added simmered (covered) until meat is tender, about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
