Stir-Fried Ginger Beef (Nua Pad King)

Recipe Ingredients

1/4 cup 59mlVegetable oil
1   Garlic - minced
10 oz 284gTop sirloin steak - cut into
  Strips
1/2 cup 118mlFresh ginger - peeled and thinly
  Sliced
1 tablespoon 15mlFish sauce - (nam pla)
1 tablespoon 15mlSoy sauce
2 tablespoons 30mlOyster sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlBrown sugar - firmly packed
1 3/4 cups 414mlGreen bell pepper - thinly sliced
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozOnion - thinly sliced
1 1/2 cups 240g / 8.5ozFreshly-cooked rice

Recipe Instructions

Heat oil in wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic; stir-fry until browned, 20 to 30 seconds.

Add beef and stir-fry until browned. Add ginger, fish sauce, and soy sauce; stir-fry for 1 minute.

Mix in oyster sauce and sugar. Add bell pepper and onion. Cover, remove from heat and let stand for 2 minutes.

Serve hot over freshly-cooked rice.
