Meat-Potatoeburger Recipe - Cooking Index
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Ground beef |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Potato - coarsely shredded |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Onion - coarsely shredded |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Green bell pepper - chopped |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 | Egg | |
Drippings or fat | ||
1 cup | 237ml | Tomato juice |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Flour |
Mix all ingredient except fat, tomato, and flour. Form into 4 patties.
Brown patties on both sides in fat in skillet. Add tomato juice.
Cover and simmer slowly until done, about 25 minutes. Remove and serve hot.
Mix flour with a little water and stir slowly into tomato juice. cook slowly, stirring constantly until thickened. Pour sauce over cakes.
