Kirghiz Baked Beef Recipe - Cooking Index
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Flank steak - chopped 1/2" |
1 | Onion - chopped | |
1 | Green pepper - chopped | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Olive oil |
1 cup | 237ml | Yogurt - (plain) |
2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Eggs (large) |
2 | Apples diced | |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Chopped dried apricots |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Raisins |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Prunes dried - pitted |
And chopped | ||
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Curry powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Pepper |
Saute onion and green pepper in olive oil in large heavy skillet until onion is transparent.
Add chopped beef and brown lightly. Pour off drippings.
Add eggs, apple, apricots, curry powder, salt and pepper to beef.
Add yogurt and mix well. Place in a large, deep casserole and bake in a 350F for 45 minutes.
