Enchilada Bake Recipe - Cooking Index
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Flour |
4 teaspoons | 20ml | Chile powder |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Oil |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground beef |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Chopped onion |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Garlic salt |

1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Shredded cheddar cheese |
Brown flour and chile powder in oil in skillet. Stir in 2 cups water gradually. Simmer for 1/2 hour. Brown ground beef with onion in separate skillet until crumbly. Add seasonings. Dip tortillas in chile powder mixture with tongs until softened. Fill center of tortilla with ground beef mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Roll to enclose mixture. Place in baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese over top. Pour chile powder mixture over enchiladas. Bake at 350F until cheese is melted. Serve hot
