Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozFlank steak
1 1/4 teaspoons 6.3mlSalt
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlGround black pepper
4 cups 160g / 5.6ozLeaf lettuce - in pieces
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozOnion - thinly sliced (medium)
2 cups 474mlCucumber - thinly sliced
1 cup 237mlSweet red bell pepper - sliced
1/4 cup 59mlOlive oil
3 tablespoons 45mlLime juice
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozFresh dill - chopped

Recipe Instructions

Preheat broiler. Season steak with 1/4 tsp of the salt and 1/8 teaspoon of the ground black pepper.

Broil 1 to 2 inches from the heat until desired doneness (3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare).

Cut into thin slices; cool slightly. Place in a large salad bowl with lettuce, onions, cucumber and red pepper, set aside.

In a cup, combine olive oil, lime juice, dill and remaining 1 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper; pour over salad; serve immediately.
