Creamy (Turkey) Ham Ziti

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozZiti or penne - or other medium past
  Uncooked
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlVegetable oil
12 oz 340gLean turkey ham - cut into bite-size p
1   Red bell pepper - diced
1 cup 237mlNon-fat sour cream
10 oz 284gFrozen spinach - thawed and drained
3/4 cup 177mlSkim milk
1/4 cup 59mlDijon mustard
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozChopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons 30mlMinced fresh dill
1 tablespoon 15mlLemon juice
3/4 teaspoon 3.8mlHot sauce
  Salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Instructions

Prepare pasta according to package directions. While pasta is cooking, warm the oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the ham and red pepper and cook until browned. Meanwhile, puree the sour cream, spinach, milk, mustard, parsley, dill, lemon juice and hot sauce in a food processor or blender until very smooth. Add the puree to the ham. Heat to a simmer.

When pasta is done, drain it well. Toss pasta with sauce, season with salt and pepper and serve.
