Basic Marinade For Grilled Meats And Fish Saltsa Marinata Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 474ml | Wine |
1 cup | 237ml | Olive oil |
2 | Garlic - crushed | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced fresh oregano |
2 | Bay leaves | |
2 | Lemons - juice of | |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Fresh parsley - chopped. |
Match the wine in this marinade to the meat: red wine for red meats and game and white wine for fish and poultry.
Marinate fish 1 to 2 hrs.
Marinate poultry and meant as long as overnight, depending upon the desired intensity of flavor. Be sure to cover and refrigerate mixture if marinating longer than 1 hour.
Before grilling, bring meats or fish to room temp. Baste with marinade as they cook.
