Cabbage Salad Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Green or Savoy cabbage - 1 medium |
Finely shredded | ||
1 | Onion - grated (medium) | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped fresh parsley |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Olive oil - to taste |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Wine vinegar - to taste |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar |
Salt and freshly ground pepper - to taste | ||
1 | Green bell pepper - for garnish | |
Seeded - deribbed, and cut in thin rings |
In a large salad bowl, combine cabbage, onion, and parsley. In a small bowl whisk together oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, and ground pepper. Pour dressing over cabbage and toss until thoroughly coated.
Arrange bell pepper rings on top. Cover and chill before serving.
