Ginger Pot Roast Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Boneless beef pot roast - up to 2 |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Oil |
4 | Garlic - pressed | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Grated fresh ginger root |
Salt - to taste | ||
1 | Water - up to 1 | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Soy sauce |
3/4 cup | 120g / 4.2oz | Raw rice |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
Brown beef in oil then rub with mixture of garlic and ginger. Salt lightly. Transfer to crock pot.
Pour in water and soy sauce.
Cover and cook on Low for 7-8 hours or on High for 2-3 hours and then on Low for 2 hours more.
Remove 1 1/2 cups broth from pot. Place in saucepan with rice and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat.
Cook until rice is done, 18-20 minutes.
