Curried-Chutney Meat Loaf Recipe - Cooking Index

2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Eggs (large) |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Granny smith apple (large) peel, core, dice |
1 | Onion - finely chopped (small) | |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Fresh bread crumbs |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Orange juice |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Curry powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Salt |
1 | Mango chutney - chopped |
Preheat oven to 350F.
In large bowl, mix beef, egg, apple, onion, bread crumbs, orange juice, curry powder, salt, and 1/2 cup chutney just until well combined but not over-mixed.
2. Spoon meat mixture into 9" by 5" metal loaf pan; press down gently. Bake meat loaf 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let meat loaf stand 10 minutes in pan.
3. Pour off fat from loaf pan. Invert meat loaf onto platter; spread top with remaining chutney.
