China Pepper Steak Recipe - Cooking Index

Green pepper - sliced | ||
Tomato - quarter | ||
Onion - chopped | ||
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Soy sauce |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Bean sprout |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Sugar |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Cornstarch |
1 | Garlic - minced, clove | |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Water |
Slice steak thinly in short cross- wise pieces.
Heat butter in skillet and add garlic, salt and pepper.
Add beef and brown on both sides. Add soy sauce and sugar; cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add rinsed sprouts, tomatoes and green peppers; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Dissolve corn starch in water and stir in. Stir until sauce thickens.
Sprinkle with onions and serve on rice.
