2 1/2 lbs 1135g / 40ozBeef stew meat
2 cups 220g / 7.8ozChopped carrots
2 cups 220g / 7.8ozChopped celery
3   Onions - cut up
3 tablespoons 45mlTapioca
1 tablespoon 15mlSugar
1   Tomatoes - (28 oz size)
1 cup 146g / 5.1ozDiced potatoes
2   Bay leaves
1/2 cup 118mlFrozen peas
1 tablespoon 15mlSalt
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlPepper
3/4 cup 177mlHot water

Recipe Instructions

Combine all ingredients into heavy cookware. Bake covered at 250F for five hours, stirring occasionally.

Serve with dumplings or boiled potatoes or buttered noodles.
