Beer Braised Beef In Crock Pot Recipe - Cooking Index
3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Lean beef stew meat cut into |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Pepper |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Onions thinly sliced (medium) |
1 | Mushrooms - (or pieces) un-drained | |
1 | Dark beer | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vinegar |
2 | Beef bouillon cubes | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Sugar |
2 | Garlic - minced | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Thyme |
2 | Bay leaves |
Preparation: Put the beef in the crock pot.
Combine all the other ingredients and pour over the beef. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
Before serving thicken juices if desired.
Joyce says she uses some flour or corn starch to do this.
