Beef and Broccoli Recipe - Cooking Index
3/4 lb | 340g / 11oz | Top round steak - cut 3/4" thick |
1 | Garlic - minced | |
1 | Cream of broccoli soup | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Peanut oil |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Water |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Broccoli flowerets |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Soy sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Onion - cut into wedges (medium) |
Slice the beef into thin strips across the grain.
Brown the beef in half of the oil in a large, heavy skillet, stirring often. Remove the meat from the skillet.
Add the remaining oil to the skillet.
Saute the broccoli flowerets and the onion with the garlic, stirring often, until tender-crisp.
Add the soup, water and soy sauce. Heat to boiling.
Return the beef to the skillet. Heat through, stirring occasionally. Serve over rice.
