Tricolor Casserole Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Turkey or chicken meat - cooked, ground |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk |
1 | Egg - slightly beaten | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Oil - divided |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt - divided |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce - divided |
1 | Frozen chopped broccoli - (10 oz) - steamed, drained | |
1 | Yams in syrup - (16 oz) - drained, and | |
Syrup reserved | ||
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground cinnamon |
In medium bowl mix turkey, milk, egg, 1 tablespoon oil, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce. Spread 1/2 cup of mixture evenly over bottom of four 12-ounce greased oval ramekins.
In container of electric blender, puree broccoli with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon oil. Spoon 1/3 cup broccoli mixture evenly over turkey mixture.
Beat yams with 1/3 cup reserved syrup, cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce until smooth; spread evenly over broccoli mixture. Sprinkle each ramekin with additional cinnamon.
Bake ramekins in a 350 degree oven 40 minutes or until bubbly and top is partially browned.
