Pacific Rim Short Ribs Recipe - Cooking Index

1 | Pineapple chunks in own juice - (8 oz) | |
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Sugar |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Soy sauce |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Tabasco brand Green Pepper Sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sesame oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
1 | Green onion - chopped | |
1 | Garlic clove (large) | |
Fresh ginger - (1" piece) - peeled |
Place each rib bone-side down and remove excess fat with sharp knife. Score each rib in crisscross pattern, cutting meat halfway to bone.
Place pineapple with juice, sugar, soy sauce, Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce, sesame oil, vegetable oil, green onion, garlic and ginger in food processor; blend until smooth. Place mixture and ribs in resealable plastic bag or large non-reactive dish. Close bag or cover dish and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
Preheat grill to medium or preheat broiler. Remove ribs from marinade and place on lightly greased grill or broiler pan. Reserve marinade. Cook ribs, about 30 minutes, turning and basting often with marinade until ribs are well browned on all sides.
