Pie dough for one 10" deep-dish pie | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter or margarine |
1 | Frozen chopped broccoli - (10 oz) - thawed, and | |
Squeezed dry | ||
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Diced cooked ham |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Onion - minced (small) |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Half-and-half |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Flour |
3 | Eggs | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Shredded Cheddar cheese |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line 10-inch deep-dish pie plate with dough. Line dough with foil; weigh down with dried beans. Bake 10 minutes. Remove beans; bake 10 minutes or until crust begins to brown lightly. Cool.
Melt butter in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Add broccoli, ham, onion and salt. Cook until liquid evaporates, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Beat half-and-half, flour, eggs and Tabasco Sauce in medium bowl. Stir in broccoli mixture and cheese.
Pour mixture into crust. Bake about 40 minutes or until lightly browned and set. Cool 10 minutes; serve.
