Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Spaghetti |
1 | Spam luncheon meat - (12 oz) - cubed 1/4 | |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Chopped onion |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Olive oil |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Butter |
4 | Eggs - slightly beaten | |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Grated parmesan cheese |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped fresh parsley |
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Meanwhile, in skillet cook Spam and onion in oil and butter over medium heat until lightly browned. Set aside.
When spaghetti is cooked, drain; return to pot. Add eggs; toss to combine. Add Spam mixture, cheese and parsley; toss to combine. Season to taste with pepper. Serve immediately.
