| 1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Ricotta cheese |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Light sour cream |
| 1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine - melted |
| 1 | Egg | |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground nutmeg |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
| Topping | ||
| 1 cup | 237ml | Freshly-torn bread cubes |
| 1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Grated Parmesan cheese |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine - melted |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped fresh parsley |
| (or 1 tspn dried parsley leaves) |
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook noodles according to package directions.
In a large bowl, stir together ricotta cheese, sour cream, onion, milk, 2 tablespoons butter, egg, nutmeg and pepper. Stir in Spam and cooked noodles. Spoon mixture into greased 2 1/2-quart casserole. Cover. Bake, stirring until thoroughly heated.
In small bowl, combine all topping ingredients. During last 10 minutes of baking, uncover, stir and top with topping.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
