Peasant Style Blackfish Recipe - Cooking Index
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Blackfish (tautog) fillets |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Paprika |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter - melted |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Fennel seed |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Parsley flakes |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Dried thyme |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Dry white wine |
Cut fish fillets into serving size pieces and arrange in a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle fillets with paprika.
Combine butter, fennel, parsley, thyme, lemon juice and wine and pour over the fish fillets.
Bake in an oven preheated to 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
