Broiled Marinated Cape Shark Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Cape shark (dogfish) |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Lime juice |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Teriyaki sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Paprika |
Divide cape shark into serving size portions. Mix all ingredients and pour into a zipper lock plastic bag. Add the fish, seal the bag, and refrigerate for 35 to 40 minutes.
Preheat the broiler. Remove shark from the marinade and place fish on the broiler pan. Discard the remaining marinade. Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat source, checking for doneness after 5 minutes until the center of the fillet turns from translucent to white.
This recipe yields 2 to 4 servings.
