Fish 'n' Kraut Sandwich Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Flaked cooked fish |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Drained sauerkraut |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped dill pickles |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Mayonnaise |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Horseradish mustard |
8 | Rye bread | |
4 | Swiss cheese - (1 oz ea) | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine |
Combine first 5 ingredients; mix well.
Spread 1/4 of mixture on each of 4 slices of bread; cover each with cheese slice and top with remaining bread.
Melt butter in skillet. Place sandwiches in skillet and grill on both sides until golden brown.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
