Tuna Burger Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 | Solid white tuna - (6 oz ea) - drained | |
| 1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Breadcrumbs |
| 2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Eggs - lightly beaten (large) |
| 1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Finely-chopped onion |
| 1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Finely-chopped celery |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped pimento - optional |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Fresh lemon juice |
| 1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Prepared horseradish |
| 1 | Garlic clove - minced | |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine the tuna, bread crumbs, and egg, and stir lightly. Add the onion, celery, pimento (if using), lemon juice, horseradish, garlic, and pepper, and mix again. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook the patties, covered, until golden brown. Carefully flip the patties and cook the other side for 5 minutes. Finish baking in the oven until golden brown.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
