Ron's Grilled Peanut Butter Ham Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Chicken broth |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Peanut butter |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Honey |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Onion - grated (small) |
1 | Garlic clove - chopped | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Soy sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Gravy base |
= (Kitchen Bouquet recommended) | ||
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
2 | Center-cut 1 1/2"-thick ham slices |
In a blender, combine the broth, peanut butter, honey, onion, garlic, soy sauce, gravy base and pepper. Put the ham in a shallow glass dish, pour the marinade over it, and marinate for 3 to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
Prepare a charcoal fire. Remove ham from marinade and cook approximately 15 minutes per side over glowing coals. Carve into 1-inch thick slices.
This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
