Kentucky Colonel Barbecue Pork Chops Recipe - Cooking Index

2 tablespoons | 30ml | Brown sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Oil |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Vinegar |
2 1/2 teaspoons | 12ml | Salt |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Chopped onion |
= (or 2 tbspns onion powder) | ||
2 1/2 teaspoons | 12ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dry mustard |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Hot pepper sauce |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Red pepper |
1 | Garlic | |
= (or 1 tbspn powdered garlic) | ||
10 | Pork chops, 1" thick |
Combine all ingredients except for the pork chops and bring to a rolling boil. Remove from the heat and cool. Refrigerate sauce overnight to blend flavors.
Heat a grill to medium-high heat.
Apply sauce to chops with dish mop or paint brush. Grill to desired doneness, about 5 minutes per side for medium-well. Baste with sauce each time they are turned.
This recipe yields 10 chops.
