Guava Glazed Pork Loin Recipe - Cooking Index
Guava Glaze | ||
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Minced garlic |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Minced onion |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Dry sherry |
1 | Guava marmalade - (18 oz) | |
1 | Tomato salsa - (8 oz) | |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Dark corn syrup |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | White vinegar |
Pork Loin | ||
1 | Pork loin - (5 lbs) | |
Adobo seasoning | ||
12 | Garlic cloves |
For the Guava Glaze: Combine all ingredients and simmer in a large saucepan for 2 hours at very low heat.
For the Pork Loin: Season pork loin with Adobo and stuff with the garlic cloves. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 18 minutes per pound.
When meat is nearly fully cooked, baste with guava glaze and cook for another 5 to 10 minutes. Place on a serving platter.
