Tahitian Prawns

Recipe Ingredients

2 lbs 908g / 32ozPrawns
2 tablespoons 30mlChopped onions
  Salt - to taste
  Ground red repper - to taste
8 oz 227gDry white wine
  = (or water)
2   Garlic cloves - crushed
  Paprika - to taste
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozFinely-chopped parsley

Recipe Instructions

Wash the prawns thouroughly, breaking off the feelers or legs which are too long. Fry the chopped onion in a heavy frying pan until golden.

Add the prawns and continue cooking until they turn red in color. Season and add a glass of dry white wine or water to the pan, then the crushed cloves of garlic and a light sprinkling of paprika.

Cover the pan and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes. Check the seasoning, sprinkle over the fresh parsley and serve hot.
