Maryland Crab Cakes Recipe - Cooking Index
Best served with a remoulade sauce. You can make an easy one with mayo, cocktail sauce, and a bit of Cajun seasoning. The sauce will add about 2 carbs to the total.
Type: Fish, Shellfish1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Lump crabmeat - picked over |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Mayonnaise |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
1 | Egg - beaten | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Old Bay seafood seasoning |
1 | Salt | |
Oil - for frying |
In a large glass bowl, fold ingredients together taking care to coat all of the crabmeat. Mold into 4 patties. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve.
Or alternately, pan fry in oil lightly for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove and place on paper towels to drain
