Crab Seafood Pasta Salad Recipe - Cooking Index
12 oz | 340g | Medium pasta shells |
Salt - as needed | ||
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Imitation crab meat - broken in pieces |
1 cup | 237ml | Mayonnaise |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Buttermilk |
4 | Green onions - thinly sliced | |
Juice of 1 lemon | ||
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Onion powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Chopped garlic |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Seasoned salt |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped parsley |
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling, salted water until al dente, 10 to 12 minutes. Rinse, drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the crab, mayonnaise, buttermilk, onions, lemon juice, onion powder, garlic, seasoned salt, parsley and pepper to taste. Add the pasta shells and mix again. Cover and chill overnight.
This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
