Black And Red Peppered Shrimp Recipe - Cooking Index
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter - (1/2 stick) |
2 | Garlic cloves - (to 3) - minced | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dried red pepper flakes |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Medium shrimp - in shells |
1 | Lemon - thinly sliced |
Heat the oven to 400 degrees.
Melt the butter over medium-low heat in a large ovenproof skillet. Add the garlic and cook until tender but not browned, 2 minutes. Stir in the red pepper flakes, pepper and salt. Add the shrimp and lemon slices. Toss to coat thoroughly.
Place the skillet in the oven and bake, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp is pink, 15 minutes.
This recipe yields 3 to 4 servings.
