Angel Hair Aglio-Olio Recipe - Cooking Index
1/4 cup | 59ml | Olive oil |
3 | Garlic cloves - minced | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped parsley |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Angel hair pasta = (or other thin dried pasta shape) |
Heat the olive oil, garlic, parsley and salt and pepper to taste in a saucepan over medium-low heat for 10 minutes. The garlic should be tender and the aroma potent.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, about 3 minutes. Drain. Combine the olive oil mixture with the pasta. Taste for seasoning.
Each serving: 135 calories; 50 mg sodium; 0 cholesterol; 9 grams fat; 1 gram saturated fat; 11 grams carbohydrates; 2 grams protein; 0.70 gram fiber.
