Helen's Chiles Rellenos

Recipe Ingredients

1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozButter or margarine - (1 stick)
1   Drained diced green chiles - (7 oz)
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozCheddar cheese - shredded
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozJack cheese - shredded
3   Eggs
2 cups 474mlMilk
3/4 teaspoon 3.8mlSalt
1 cup 110g / 3.9ozBiscuit mix

Recipe Instructions

Melt butter in 13- by 9-inch baking dish. Arrange chiles in layer in bottom of pan. Cover with Cheddar and Jack cheeses.

Blend eggs, milk, salt and biscuit mix in mixing bowl. Pour over cheese in baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees until golden, 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool slightly and cut into squares. Serve warm.
