Ginger Beef Bowl Recipe - Cooking Index
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sesame oil |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Sliced sukiyaki beef |
Or any thinly-sliced steak | ||
1 | Ginger root - (1" long) - grated | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Soy sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sake |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Toasted sesame seeds - (to 2 tbspns) |
Hot steamed rice or shredded lettuce | ||
Pickled ginger |
Heat oil in large skillet over high heat. Add beef, a little at a time, to separate slices. Stir-fry until beef loses its red color, 2 minutes.
Add ginger and toss to mix. Add soy sauce and sake and stir-fry until liquid is absorbed, 3 to 5 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and toss lightly.
Serve over hot steamed rice in bowl or over bed of shredded lettuce. Sprinkle with pickled ginger to taste.
