Bok Choy-Shiitake Stir-Fry Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Shiitake mushrooms - washed, sliced |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vegetable oil |
3 | Garlic cloves - minced | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Grated fresh ginger |
1 | Bok choy - chopped 1" pieces | |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped red bell peppers |
1 | Green onions, green and white parts - chopped | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dark sesame oil |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sweet sherry |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Soy sauce |
Salt - to taste | ||
8 oz | 227g | Oriental noodles - (to 12 oz) - cooked |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sesame seeds - for garnish |
In a large skillet, saute the mushrooms in the oil for 3 to 5 minutes. Add the garlic, ginger, bok choy, peppers, green onions, sesame oil, sherry, soy sauce, and salt. Stir-fry until the bok choy and peppers are tender, about 5 to 8 minutes. Add the noodles and mix.
Serve on a platter and sprinkle the top with the sesame seeds.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
