Crunchy Oven-Fried Flounder Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Flounder fillets |
= (or other lean fish fillets) | ||
1/3 cup | 78ml | Sour cream |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon Juice |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Chili powder |
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Finely-crushed corn chips |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Margarine or butter - melted |
Move oven rack to slightly above the middle position of oven. Heat oven to 500 degrees. Grease rectangular baking dish, 13 by 9 by 2 inches. If fish fillets are large, cut into 4 serving pieces; pat dry. Mix sour cream, lemon juice, and chili powder.
Dip fish into sour cream mixture; coat with chips. Place in baking dish. Pour margarine over fish.
Bake uncovered 10 to 12 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
