Chicken En Brochette With Ginger Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Lite soy sauce |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Sherry |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Grated fresh ginger - (to 2) |
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||

2 | Boneless skinless chicken breasts - halved | |
1 | Green onions |
Mix soy sauce, sherry, and sugar in small saucepan. Heat to dissolve sugar. Stir in ginger and pepper. (Makes 1 cup marinade)
Soak bamboo skewers in warm water 30 minutes. Cut chicken breasts into 1 1/2-inch cubes. Slice green onions into 1 1/2-inch lengths. Thread chicken and green onions by turns on skewers. Place in baking dish and pour marinade over all. Marinate 30 minutes. Broil 15 minutes, turning often. Serve at once.
