Italian Grilled Tuna Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Tuna steaks |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Fresh lemon juice |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Diced roasted red peppers |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Sliced scallions |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Minced fresh oregano |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Minced fresh Italian parsley |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Balsamic vinegar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Combine the tuna steaks and lemon juice and marinate for 15 minutes. Prepare an outside grill with an oiled rack set 6 inches above the heat source. On a gas grill, set the heat to medium.
Grill or broil the tuna 6 inches from the heat source for 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Combine all remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour the sauce over the tuna steaks to serve.
This recipe yields 6 servings. Serving size: 3 to 4 oonces.
