Chinese Ginger Salmon Recipe - Cooking Index
This very quick marinade further deepens the rich flavor of salmon. Soy, ginger, and garlic are enhanced with the techniques of broiling or grilling. Use this marinade for any other fatty fish, such as tuna or swordfish.

3 tablespoons | 45ml | Lite soy sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sesame oil |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Honey |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dry sherry |
1 cup | 237ml | Fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Minced ginger |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Minced garlic |
In a large bowl or zippered plastic bag, combine all marinade ingredients.
Add the salmon filets and let marinate for 30 minutes or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Preheat an oven broiler or outdoor grill with the rack 6 inches from the heat source. Broil or grill the salmon 6 inches from the heat source for about 8 to 10 minutes until the fish just turns opaque.
This recipe yields 4 servings. Serving size: one filet (about 4 oz).
