Turkey Sausage And Pasta Toss

Recipe Ingredients

8 oz 227gUncooked penne or gemelli pasta
1   No-salt-added stewed tomatoes - (14 1/2 oz), undrain
6 oz 170gTurkey kielbasa
  = (or smoked turkey sausage)
2 cups 474mlFresh asparagus (1") pieces
  = (or broccoli florets)
2 tablespoons 30mlPrepared reduced-fat pesto sauce
2 tablespoons 30mlGrated Parmesan cheese

Recipe Instructions

Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt.

Meanwhile, heat tomatoes in medium saucepan. Cut sausage crosswise into 1/4-inch slices; add to tomatoes. Stir in asparagus and pesto; cover and simmer about 6 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender.

Drain pasta; toss with tomato mixture and sprinkle with cheese.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
