Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe - Cooking Index
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Margarine |
3 | Garlic cloves - finely chopped | |
4 1/2 teaspoons | 22ml | All-purpose flour |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Fat-free (skim) milk |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Grated Parmesan cheese |
3 1/2 teaspoons | 17ml | Neufchâtel cheese |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground white pepper |
4 oz | 113g | Hot cooked fettuccine |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped fresh parsley |
Melt margarine in medium saucepan. Add garlic. Cook and stir 1 minute. Stir in flour. Gradually stir in milk. Cook until sauce thickens, stirring constantly.
Add cheeses and pepper; cook until melted. Serve on fettuccine; top with parsley.
