Bean And Apple Bake Recipe - Cooking Index
This is a heartier and healthier version of baked beans.

1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Ground turkey |

1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Minced onion |
1 | Vegetarian baked beans - (24 oz) | |
2 cups | 474ml | Canned no-sodium tomato sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Brown sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Dijon mustard |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Diced Gala apples |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Red wine vinegar |
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the turkey and saute until the turkey is almost cooked through, about 7 minutes. Add the onion and saute for 5 more minutes.
Combine the turkey with the remaining ingredients and place into a casserole dish. Bake, covered, for 45 minutes until bubbly.
This recipe yields 6 servings. Serving size: 1 cup (3 ounces turkey, about 1/2 cup beans).
